Frequent Questions

I. Do we get to choose music?

All of my wedding films are produced with licensed music. Finding the right music can take a matter of minutes, hours or days for each film. Each track helps convey the emotions and vibes of the day, so I’m very selective with the final choices. I ask that you trust my creative judgement and allow me to make the best creative decisions. Legally, all music needs to be licensed.

II. How Does Travel Work?

Travel costs vary for every location and depends on various factors such as time of year, length of time I’ll be in the location, other transportation needed. I promise that I want travel to be as reasonable and affordable as possible while getting me to and from every location as comfortably and safely as possible. No first class flying over here! The last thing you want is for me to show up to film with jet lag, exhausted, and mentally checked out.

III. When will we receive our film?

My goal is to deliver your film as quickly as possible but please allow for up to six months. I intentionally take less weddings each year so I can focus on delivering the best possible film. I edit every single film myself and as I try to create a healthier work-life balance, I am allocating more time for each film.

IV. How Long Will Our Film Be?

It’s hard to know how long a film will be before even shooting and looking back at the events. I don’t have different film lengths but rather, your film will be exactly how long it needs to be in order to tell your story. Multi-day events will generally lead to longer films along with adding in your Adventure Session choices.

V. Is a Film Important?

Yes! A film is completely different from photos as you can’t hear a photo. A photo isn’t moving. And no, a film shouldn’t replace photos either! Your films and photos are two tangible heirlooms that you will be able to treasure and watch years down the line. So many of my past couples tell me that they watch their films every anniversary and I’m so happy to be a small part of their tradition. Think long term; in 20+ years so much will have happened in your life but you’ll still be able to go back and watch these moments exactly as it happened instead of relying on memory. Your films and photos are such important heirlooms and showcase who you were at this point in time, highlighting your growth as people and as a couple. You always hear about people regretting not booking a videographer, but how often do you hear about regrets when they do?
